Is bespoke worth it?
Standard wardrobes cannot follow a slope. A fitted wardrobe can be shaped to the ceiling line, with hanging where it is tall and drawers or shelves where it’s low. Large standalone pieces don’t always fit the lift or the hallway, whereas fitted furniture is made in sections that fit. The sections are joined and fixed once inside.
Every room is priced on its own, because size, layout and finish change from job to job. A spray finish and a hand-painted finish involve different work, and that shows in the price. The figure comes in your written quote after the design visit.

When is bespoke worth it?
If you’re handy, a simple shelf or a standard wardrobe in a square room is a reasonable DIY job. It gets harder with sloping ceilings, out-of-level floors and lath-and-plaster walls.
Off-the-shelf furniture can be a sensible choice. If the walls are straight and the space suits standard sizes, it often does the job, and it is easy to buy.

How long the fitting takes depends on how many wardrobes there are and how the room is shaped, and we confirm the fitting days in your quote. Newer developments sometimes have their own parking and loading rules, so tell us what applies during the design visit. The furniture comes in sections and is fixed in place. Saturday fitting is possible by arrangement.
