Bespoke kitchens for homes in Ruislip Manor

You choose the worktop, sink and appliances, and we design the cabinets around them. Knowing the appliance sizes early lets us leave the right spaces, so everything fits as it should. Your quote sets out the materials and finish. Most enquiries start with a kitchen island with room around it and cabinets that suit lean and sloping walls; the furniture is made from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, finished by spray or by hand.

Knocked-through kitchen-diners in older semis sometimes keep a chimney breast, which can frame a dresser or tall cupboards. If yours is one of the interwar houses or semis that make up much of the housing around Ruislip Manor, that is a feature worth designing around. Any capped chimney stays ventilated.

You get the quote in writing, so you can read it at your own pace. It records the design, the materials and the finish we discussed.

Made-to-measure kitchens in Ruislip Manor

The biggest shares of homes in the area around Ruislip Manor were built between 1919 and 1939 (about 60%) and between 1945 and 1972 (about 17%), going by the Valuation Office Agency’s 2025 council tax figures. Knowing roughly when a home was built helps, because walls and fixings change from one era to the next. Entries on the National Heritage List near the centre of Ruislip Manor include Lady Bankes School (Grade II), under half a mile south-east, and Church of St Paul (Grade II), under half a mile south. Works inside a listed home that affect its character, for instance removing original joinery or fixing into it, can require listed building consent from the council. The council’s conservation officer is the person to ask before work starts. About 47% of households in the streets around Ruislip Manor live in detached or semi-detached houses, according to Census 2021. A house like that typically has more rooms to plan around than a flat, and sometimes a driveway that makes unloading easier.

For a family home near Lady Bankes Infant School, a kitchen with a spot for school letters and lunch boxes makes mornings easier. Close to Church Field Gardens? A tall cupboard for outdoor things can be part of the kitchen design. Ickenham Hall, about 1.5 miles south-west, is one of the historic houses in the wider area. If your own home is a period one, cabinets will be scribed to walls and floors that are rarely true.

FAQs: bespoke kitchens in Ruislip Manor

Do you make bespoke kitchens for homes in Ruislip Manor?

Yes. We cover all of Hillingdon and the rest of London, and Ruislip Manor is part of that. The first step is a design visit, where we measure and talk through the design, followed by a quote.

Do you cover homes near West Ruislip station?

Yes. We cover all of Hillingdon and the rest of London. You can use our contact form to arrange a design visit.

Do you supply the worktop and appliances?

The cabinets are designed for the worktop, sink and appliances you have picked. It helps to choose them before the design is final, and the quote confirms what’s included.

Can you build an island in my kitchen?

Yes, where there’s space. We measure during the design visit to check there’s room to walk round it and open doors, and suggest another layout if it would crowd the room.

Can you fit a kitchen in a room with uneven walls?

Yes. Each cabinet is trimmed to the wall and levelled, so the worktop you choose can sit level. That is a big part of why bespoke suits period homes.

Do I get to choose the colour?

The choice is yours. Spray and hand-painted finishes both use the colour you’ve chosen.

Fitting day, step by step

On the morning of the fitting, we start by protecting your floors and the route from the front door to the room. The sections built in our workshop come in next, one at a time. How long the fitting takes depends on the kitchen’s size and how many other trades are involved, and we confirm the fitting days in your quote. Fitting day means carrying in the sections, joining them and fitting them to the walls. Hand-painted furniture can be finished on site; spray-painted pieces arrive finished from the workshop. Saturday fitting is possible by arrangement.

  1. First, you let us know about the kitchen you have and the one you want.
  2. We come to measure up and plan the layout with you.
  3. You get a quote in writing for the cabinets, with the materials and finish set out.
  4. The units are made and finished in our workshop from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood.
  5. We fit the cabinets in your home; plumbing, gas and electrics are done by your plumber, a Gas Safe registered engineer and your electrician.

Getting ready for fitting day

  • Let us know about any meters, fuse boards or boilers in the area
  • Move furniture and belongings away from the wall
  • Clear the hallway and stairs so the sections can come through

Getting a quote

You do not need exact measurements to get started. We measure everything properly at the design visit, including how level the floor and ceiling are. To get started, send us a few details through our contact form and let us know about the room. You receive a quote in writing after the visit.

Advice

Flats, leases and landlords

Conversions and newer flats often have stud walls rather than solid brick. We choose fixings to suit the wall.

We also make and fit furniture for landlords furnishing a let, often to make the most of a small or awkward room. It is made from the same moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood as any of our work.

Made-to-measure kitchens or ready-made?

There’s a place for both. In a simple modern kitchen, off-the-shelf can be enough. For period homes, tricky rooms or a painted look, bespoke tends to earn its place. If a house has been extended or knocked through, the new walls and the old ones may not line up, and straight-sided ready-made units make that obvious. Built-in pieces are scribed to take up the difference.

Every room is priced on its own, because the size, the layout and the finish all vary. Spray painting and hand painting are different processes, which affects the cost. The figure comes in your written quote after the design visit.
