Questions from Stonebridge Park
Is Stonebridge Park in the area you cover for loft storage?
Yes. We cover all of Brent and the rest of London, and Stonebridge Park is part of that. The first step is a design visit, where we measure and discuss the design, followed by a quote.
Can you fit furniture in a home close to Stonebridge Park station?
Yes. We cover all of Brent and the rest of London. You can get in touch through our contact form to arrange a design visit.
What happens when you come to measure?
We measure the room, check how level the walls and floors are and go through the design with you. We will also ask about access and parking, and a quote in writing follows.
Does someone need to be home during the fitting?
We need someone to let us in. It’s good to have someone there at the end to look over the work with us.
Will the storage fit up my loft stairs?
Measuring the route is part of the design visit. Each section is made to fit the narrowest point, and the pieces are put together in the room.
Can a wardrobe follow a sloping ceiling?
Yes. We shape the wardrobe to follow the slope, with hanging at the tall end and shelves or drawers lower down. It uses the full height of the room. We plan it during the design visit.
About our loft storage in Stonebridge Park
We make each eaves cupboard in our workshop from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood. Birch plywood gives the carcasses and drawers their strength, while MDF takes paint well for the doors and panels. It’s then spray-painted or hand-painted and fitted in your home in Stonebridge Park. If your home has seasonal things cluttering the loft room and boxes piled on loft boards, that is what eaves cupboards are for, made from birch plywood and moisture-resistant MDF with a spray-painted or hand-painted finish.
Many homes around Stonebridge Park were built since 2000, and across London a lot of homes from those years are flats with compact layouts. Where a boiler or cylinder sits in a cupboard, the design keeps the clearances its maker sets out. Shallow cupboards suit narrow halls, so the hallway still feels open.
The written quote puts the design visit in writing: the layout and internal fittings, the materials and the finish. If something is not quite right, tell us before anything is made.

Storage in Stonebridge Park homes: local notes
About 50% of the homes in the neighbourhood around Stonebridge Park went up since 2000, and about 24% between 1919 and 1939, going by the Valuation Office Agency’s 2025 council tax figures. It is a good starting point, though every room is still measured, as two homes of the same age rarely match. Stonebridge Park is partly covered by a conservation area, going by Historic England’s data. The controls in a conservation area are mostly about the outside of buildings, so furniture fitted inside a house does not normally need planning permission. Your council can advise if you’re unsure. More than a third of the homes in the neighbourhood around Stonebridge Park (about 50%) were built since 2000, on the Valuation Office Agency’s council tax figures for 2025. Where a newer house has had its loft converted, the eaves and slopes can take fitted storage; we build once the loft is converted or boarded.
For a flat near Stonebridge Park station, it is useful to book the lift and tell the concierge before fitting day. Pitzhanger Manor, about 2.8 miles south-west, is one of the historic houses in the wider area. For a period home anywhere nearby, the low eaves and slopes of a converted loft are worth using. For families living near Our Lady of Lourdes RC Primary School, a place for each person’s coat and shoes stops the hallway filling up.

Looking after your furniture
Fresh paintwork takes a while to cure fully, so treat it gently at first. After that, a few simple habits help:
- Look at the insulation and any vents behind the knee wall
- Bring paint colours you like to the design visit
- Think about how you will reach into the eaves
- Make room so the whole loft can be measured
Wiping the fronts with a soft, damp cloth is typically all they need. Avoid scourers and harsh cleaners. Handles and drawer edges pick up marks first.
Temperatures in a loft room can swing more than elsewhere. A little ventilation helps. It helps the storage stay in good condition.

What else we make in Stonebridge Park
Flats, blocks and rented homes
In a flat, the route in matters as much as the room. At the design visit, we measure the stairs, the landings, any lift and the doors, so the furniture can be made in sections that fit through.
Many London terraces have been converted into flats, which often brings a shared hall and tight turns on the stairs. We plan the size of each section around it, after measuring the route during the design visit.
When is bespoke worth it?
Long shelves are where off-the-shelf often struggles. Span, depth and the weight on it decide whether a shelf sags, so a long run needs a thicker shelf, a stiffening lip or a support. That is something we plan for in the design.
Bespoke work comes into its own in rooms that are not square. Older London rooms tend to have leaning walls, sloping floors and alcoves of different widths, and standard units leave gaps.
From workshop to your room
Furniture made in a workshop still has to meet the room it’s going into, and fitting day is where that happens. Few walls in older London homes are truly flat or square, so each edge that meets a wall is scribed to follow it, until the line is tight. How long the fitting itself takes depends on the length of the eaves and the design, and your quote sets out the fitting days. In a newer development, the lift, the concierge and set working hours may all need checking, so check them with the managing agent before fitting day. Eaves cupboards are made in sections sized for the lift and doors.
- You get in touch and describe the loft room, its slopes and any dormer.
- We visit to measure the slopes and eaves and talk through cupboards, drawers and wardrobes under them.
- A written quote follows, with the design, materials and finish.
- In our workshop we build each section from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood to follow the slope.
- We fit the storage in the loft, trimming the edges so they meet the ceiling neatly.
Before we arrive
- If you live in a block, book the lift and tell the building manager
- Arrange any electrical changes with your electrician ahead of time
- Take down pictures, mirrors and shelves from the wall
Getting a quote
Your quote is written for your room once we’ve visited and measured. Because every room is different, the quote comes after the design visit, once the room is measured and the design talked through. For a quote, use our contact form.
