Bespoke Kitchens in Botany Bay
Few London rooms are perfectly square, and we scribe the furniture to follow the walls. We make bespoke kitchens for homes in Botany Bay, each designed at a visit to your home.

An island can be a good addition where there’s space for one. We check there’s comfortable space on every side, because a cramped island makes a kitchen harder to work in. If the room is narrow, we’ll suggest other layouts. If you are living with a painted dresser for the kitchen and more storage in a small kitchen, kitchens made from birch ply and moisture-resistant MDF, painted by hand or sprayed can solve it.
In a part of London with mixed housing, like much of the city, floors, walls and ceilings vary from one home to the next. Cabinets are scribed and levelled on site so doors and drawers line up. The carcasses are moisture-resistant MDF or birch plywood, with the finish agreed in your quote.
After the design visit, we send you a quote in writing. It describes the design we discussed, the materials and the finish, so it is clear what’s included.

Botany Bay homes and bespoke kitchens
The biggest shares of homes in the neighbourhood around Botany Bay were built between 1973 and 1999 (about 36%) and between 1945 and 1972 (about 29%), going by the Valuation Office Agency’s 2025 council tax figures. It’s a good starting point, though every room is still measured, as two homes of the same age rarely match. Entries on the National Heritage List near the centre of Botany Bay include Holly Hill Farmhouse (Grade II), about 0.6 miles north-west. Works inside a listed home that affect its character, for instance removing original joinery or fixing into it, can need listed building consent from the council. Ask the council’s conservation officer before anything is fixed. Purpose-built flats are home to about 52% of households in the area around Botany Bay, going by Census 2021 figures from the ONS. For a flat, kitchens are made in sections sized for the stairs, the lift and the doors. Building management rules on lifts, deliveries and working hours are worth checking early.
If you live near Trent Park, a cupboard by the back door for boots and coats can be built in with the kitchen. The wider area includes historic houses like Forty Hall, about 2.5 miles east. If your own home is a period one, tall ceilings can take larder cupboards right up to the top. For a flat near Crews Hill station, the route in is measured along with the room itself, and the sections are sized to fit it.
Botany Bay is about 5 miles south-east of Edmonton, in the London Borough of Enfield. Wherever you are in Botany Bay, the process is the same: a design visit, a written quote, furniture made at our workshop and fitting in your home. We list Botany Bay among 26 places we cover in Enfield.

Questions we’re often asked
My home in Botany Bay is a flat. How do you get the furniture in?
At the design visit, we measure the way in along with the room itself. The furniture is made in sections that fit the stairs and lift, and put together in the room. It’s useful to check any building rules and your lease before fitting day.
Do you make bespoke kitchens for homes in Botany Bay?
Yes, we work across Enfield, Botany Bay included, and across the rest of London. To get started, you can send us a few details through our contact form with some details.
Can the fitting be on a Saturday?
Yes, Saturdays are possible by arrangement. Let us know when you first get in touch.
Should I send pictures?
Yes, they help. Pictures of the whole wall or room, including the floor and ceiling, give us a good idea of the space. You can send them when you get in touch through our contact form.
Do I need to be at home on fitting day?
We need someone to let us in at the start of the day. It’s good to have someone there at the end to look over the work with us.
How is the furniture painted?
You can choose between two finishes: by spray or by hand. Spray painting gives a smooth, even finish, and hand painting is easy to touch up.
Made-to-measure kitchens or ready-made?
Ready-made ranges rarely include a larder or dresser that fits a particular alcove. We can build them to fit, painted to match the rest of the kitchen. Ready-made furniture rarely suits a recess, a slope or an odd corner, and most homes have one somewhere. Built-in pieces are made to fit them.
The finish affects the cost: spray painting is done in the workshop, while hand painting can be done on site. The written quote reflects your choice, along with the size and fittings.

What happens on fitting day
The last stage of the day is the finish. If the furniture was spray painted in the workshop, we fill the fixing holes and touch up on site; if you chose hand painting, that can be done in the room once the furniture is fitted. Either way, the finish is the one set out in your quote. If you live in a block, check any rules on lifts, deliveries and working hours; for a house, steps, paths and parking are the things to mention. We plan the details of the day at the measuring visit. Saturday fitting is possible by arrangement.
- You get in touch with a few details about the kitchen. Say a little about the way you cook.
- The design visit covers measuring and planning the layout.
- A quote in writing is sent to you.
- The kitchen is made at our workshop.
- We fit the kitchen in your home, while your plumber, an engineer on the Gas Safe Register and your electrician do the plumbing, gas and electrics.
Getting ready for fitting day
- Check the building’s rules for trades and lift bookings
- Have your electrician move any sockets or switches beforehand
- Let us know if your street is in a controlled parking zone
Getting a quote
You don’t need exact measurements to get started. We measure everything properly at the measuring visit, including how level the floor and ceiling are. To arrange it, use our contact form with some details about the room. The written quote follows the visit.

What it’s made from
Plinths and scribe strips
We trim the edges to follow the wall, closing any gaps.
Birch plywood
We use birch plywood where strength matters, which suits drawer boxes and shelves. The edge can be left on show or painted.
Before and after fitting day
People planning bespoke kitchens often ask about these. They’re worth knowing whatever the room:
- Mention any parking or lift rules
- Share the layout with your other trades
- Have damp sorted before fitting
- Pick the oven, fridge and dishwasher first
The appliances you have chosen come with their own care instructions, and the worktop you chose will have its own care advice too.
Think about how the cabinets will get in. Workshop-made furniture comes in sections sized for stairs, hallways and lifts, so tell us about tight turns or small lifts.
Flats, blocks and rented homes
If the property is let, we’ll need access agreed with the tenants, at times that suit them. A letting agent can arrange this on a landlord’s behalf.
A lot of London’s terraced houses are now converted flats, and that often means a shared hallway and a tight turn on the stairs. We plan the size of each section around it, after measuring the route at the measuring visit.
