Bespoke kitchens for homes in Enfield
A bespoke kitchen is built around the room you have. Each cabinet is made to the real measurements of your walls, floor and ceiling, so there are no filler panels covering awkward gaps. You decide the layout, the storage and the colour with us before anything is made at our workshop. We make kitchens from moisture-resistant MDF and strong birch plywood, with a painted finish, and the things people most often want solved are making the most of a galley kitchen and more storage in a small kitchen.
Around Enfield, with interwar houses or semis making up much of the housing, the walls are often straighter than in a Victorian house, but they’re still measured carefully. Cabinets are scribed where needed and levelled on site. Other trades do the gas, plumbing and electrics.
Where other trades are needed, for example an electrician to move a socket, we point that out. Our quote covers the carpentry: the design, the materials and the finish.

How fitting day works
Finishing comes last. With a spray finish from the workshop, there’s normally only filling and touching up to do in the room; if you chose hand painting, that can be done in the room once the furniture is fitted. Either way, the finish is the one set out in your quote. If you have a driveway, it can make unloading simpler, so let us know at the design visit. Otherwise, details of permits or nearby bays help. Floors and doorways are protected while the pieces come in.
- It starts with a short note from you about the room.
- At the design visit we measure the kitchen and the route in, including stairs, doorways and any lift.
- We send a quote in writing.
- In our workshop we build the kitchen from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, in pieces that suit the route in.
- We carry everything in and fit the cabinets, while your plumber, a Gas Safe engineer and your electrician do the plumbing, gas and electrics.
Before we arrive
- Leave a clear route from the front door to the room
- Check the building’s rules for trades and lift bookings
- Have your electrician move any sockets or switches beforehand
Getting a quote
There’s no price list: each design is priced in writing after we’ve seen the space. Because every room is different, the quote comes after the design visit, when we’ve measured up and talked through the design. To arrange a visit, tell us about the room on our contact form.

Flats, leases and landlords
A lot of London’s terraced houses are now converted flats, which often brings a shared hall and tight turns on the stairs. We plan the size of each section around it, once we have measured the way in.
We also make and fit furniture for landlords furnishing a let, as it makes good use of an tricky room. The materials are the same as for any home: moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, with a spray or hand-painted finish.
Kitchens in Enfield: local notes
In the area around Enfield, the largest groups of homes date from between 1919 and 1939 (about 31%) and before 1919 (about 24%), based on the Valuation Office Agency’s 2025 council tax data. Each era brings its own kind of wall, ceiling height and floor, so it shapes the design from the first measurement. Part of Enfield is in a conservation area, according to Historic England’s records. Planning controls in conservation areas are mainly concerned with the outside of buildings, so fitting furniture inside a house doesn’t normally need permission. If in doubt, the council’s planning team can confirm. Each London borough runs its own parking controls, and the rest of London is no exception. If your street in Enfield is in a controlled parking zone, a visitor permit, a pay-and-display bay or a suspended bay through the council may be needed. We ask about parking during the design visit, so the day can be planned around it.
If your home is one of the older houses near Church of St Andrew, a narrow back addition or an old chimney breast may shape the kitchen layout. For a flat near Enfield Town station, it is useful to book the lift and tell the concierge before fitting day.

FAQs: bespoke kitchens in Enfield
I live near Enfield Town station. Is that in your area?
Yes. We cover the whole of London. To get started, you can use our contact form with some details about the room, and tell us about parking and access at the same time.
Will parking be an issue for fitting furniture in Enfield?
It depends on the street, as many London boroughs run controlled parking zones. Depending on the street, a visitor permit, a paid bay or a bay suspension through the council may be needed, and suspensions often need notice. Let us know what parking is near you at the design visit, and we’ll plan around it.
Is an outside wall a problem for fitted furniture?
It can be done with some care: ventilation behind and inside the furniture helps avoid condensation and mould. Damp treatment isn’t something we do, so any damp needs sorting first.
What does a bespoke kitchen cost?
Every piece is quoted for your room after the design visit. The size of the room, the number of units and the finish all make a difference. For a design visit, get in touch through our contact form.
What are your kitchens made from?
We use moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, finished by spray painting or hand painting. Your quote sets out the materials and finish.
Do you handle the gas and electrics for the kitchen?
No. We are carpenters, so we make and fit the cabinets. Your plumber, a Gas Safe engineer and your electrician do the plumbing, gas and electrics, and we design around where their work goes.
Bespoke or off-the-shelf?
Flat-pack and off-the-shelf furniture has its place. If the walls are straight and the space suits standard sizes, it often does the job, and it is easy to buy.
It’s worth being honest about cost: off-the-shelf furniture typically costs less up front. Bespoke makes more sense where the room is tricky, the space is valuable or you want the furniture to look built in.
What bespoke kitchens can’t fix
It’s useful to know what’s outside our work before you plan:
- Painting the walls around the kitchen
- Plumbing, which is for your plumber
- New sockets or circuits
Not sure whether your space suits bespoke kitchens? You can send us a few details through our contact form and we’ll tell you before you arrange a visit. How a job runs, step by step.

- A pantry cupboard with shelves and drawers
- Making the most of a galley kitchen
- Cabinets that suit lean and sloping walls
- Room for everything in the kitchen
