Bespoke kitchens for homes in Eden Park

We make kitchens for homes in Eden Park and across London. It starts with a design visit to measure and go through the layout, followed by a quote. The cabinets are made at our workshop and fitted in your home. The time the fitting takes depends on the kitchen’s size and how many other trades are involved, and your quote sets out the fitting days. We make kitchens from MDF made to resist moisture and birch plywood, then spray-painted or hand-painted, and people most often get in touch about a pantry cupboard with shelves and drawers and extra cupboard space.

A good part of the housing around Eden Park is interwar, semi-detached or detached. Many 1930s houses started with a small kitchen at the back that has since been extended or knocked through. A bespoke kitchen can be planned around the room as it is now.

A written quote follows the design visit. It describes the design we discussed, the materials and the finish, so it’s clear what’s included.

Bespoke kitchens in Eden Park: local notes

In the neighbourhood around Eden Park, the largest groups of homes date from between 1919 and 1939 (about 64%) and the years since 2000 (about 20%), according to Valuation Office Agency council tax figures (2025). For carpentry, the era of a house is a useful clue to how square its rooms are and what its walls are made of. Near the centre of Eden Park, Historic England’s list includes Oak Lodge (Grade II), about 0.5 miles south, and Langley Court Chapel (Grade II), about 0.5 miles north-east. Works inside a listed home that affect its character, for instance removing original joinery or fixing into it, may need listed building consent from the council. It’s worth speaking to the council’s conservation officer before the design is final. About 52% of households around Eden Park live in terraced houses, well above the figure for Bromley as a whole, about 21%, based on Census 2021. Narrow halls and stairs in terraces mean the furniture comes in sections.

Living in a block of flats near Eden Park station? Then the lift, the stair turns and the front door all set the largest piece that can come in. If your children go to Langley Park School for Boys or a school nearby, a tall cupboard by the door can take school bags and coats as part of the kitchen. The wider area includes historic houses such as Bromley Palace, about 2.2 miles north-east. For a period home anywhere nearby, cabinets will be scribed to walls and floors that are rarely true.

Common questions about bespoke kitchens

Can parking be tricky on fitting day in Eden Park?

It can be, depending on whether your street is in a controlled parking zone. Depending on the street, a visitor permit, a paid bay or a bay suspension through the council may be needed, and suspensions often need notice. Let us know what parking is near you during the design visit.

Do you make bespoke kitchens for homes in Eden Park?

Yes, Eden Park is within the area we cover, which takes in all of Bromley and the rest of London. The first step is a design visit, where we measure and talk through the design, followed by a quote.

What do you do at the measuring visit?

We take full measurements, look at the walls and floors and work through the design together. Access and parking are worth talking about too.

How much does a bespoke kitchen cost?

We quote each job for the room it’s going into, after the design visit. The size of the room, the number of units and the finish all make a difference. For a design visit, message us from the contact page.

Should I send photos?

Yes, they help. A few pictures of the room, from floor to ceiling, tell us a lot. To send them, drop us a line using the contact form.

Do I need to be at home on fitting day?

Someone needs to be there to let us in. After that, you don’t need to stay in the room.

Honest limits

We don’t treat damp or carry out building work, so these points are worth knowing:

  • Plastering, tiling or decorating
  • Wiring for appliances and lights
  • Connecting sinks, taps and dishwashers

If you’re not sure what’s possible in your room, you can tell us about the room on our contact form and we’ll give you a straight answer. Our process from visit to fitting.

Materials and parts

  • Spray-painted finish
  • Islands where space allows
  • Moisture-resistant MDF
  • Hand-painted finish
  • Birch plywood
  • Larders and dressers

From workshop to your room

At the end, we tidy up and take up the floor coverings. Before we go, we look over the finished furniture with you and answer any questions. The time the fitting takes depends on how many units there are and how the room is laid out, and we confirm the fitting days in your quote. Clearing the room and the way in beforehand helps the day run well. Fitting day starts with protecting the floors and setting out the pieces. The pieces are levelled, fitted to the walls and fixed back.

  1. We start with how you cook and what the kitchen needs to hold. Larders, dressers and islands can all be part of it, where space allows.
  2. We visit to measure and go through the design and storage. We note where the water, gas and sockets are now.
  3. We send a written quote setting out the cabinets, materials and finish.
  4. The cabinets, doors and drawer fronts are built in our workshop.
  5. Fitting day: we fit the cabinets, and your plumber, electrician and a Gas Safe engineer handle the services.

Preparing the room

  • Book any lift and let the concierge or building manager know
  • Have your electrician move any sockets or switches beforehand
  • Keep pets in another room while we work

How to get a quote

Pictures help us understand the room before we visit. A few pictures showing the walls, the corners and where the ceiling meets them tell us a lot about the space, particularly with rough sizes. To share them, tell us about the room on our contact form, and we’ll arrange a design visit.

Flats, blocks and rented homes

If your flat is leasehold, check your lease before fixing furniture to the walls. A lease can require consent from the building owner for alterations. We cannot advise on your lease, so check it yourself or ask your managing agent.

In a managed block, the building manager or concierge may need notice before we arrive. If there’s a lift, it may need booking, and its size matters when we plan the sections. Tell us about it when you contact us.

DIY, flat-pack or bespoke

Where bespoke earns its keep is in rooms that are not square. In period homes, walls lean, floors slope and the alcoves on each side are often different widths, which leaves standard units with gaps at the sides and top.

It’s worth being honest about cost: off-the-shelf furniture normally costs less up front. Bespoke earns its place where the room is tricky, space is tight or you want the furniture to look part of the house.
