Bespoke Kitchens in Euston

Few London rooms are perfectly square, and we scribe the furniture to follow the walls. Our work on bespoke kitchens in Euston starts with a design visit, and everything is made in our workshop.

Islands work well in kitchens with room to walk around them. We check there’s comfortable space on every side, and in a narrow kitchen an island can make the room harder to use. If the room is narrow, we will suggest other layouts. We make kitchens from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, finished by spray or by hand, and the things people most often want solved are a kitchen island with room around it and a kitchen that fits an uneven room.

Purpose-built flats are home to most households around Euston, and blocks often have rules about the lift and working times. It’s useful to check those with the managing agent before fitting day. Your lease may require consent for a new kitchen, so it’s worth checking.

Once you’ve read the quote and decided to go ahead, the furniture is made at our workshop. The quote sets out the agreed design, materials and finish, so you can check every detail beforehand.

Bespoke or off-the-shelf?

Off-the-shelf furniture can be a sensible choice. In a room with square walls and standard sizes, it can work well, and it’s easy to buy.

A confident DIYer can manage simple shelves or a standard wardrobe in a square room. It gets harder with sloping ceilings, out-of-level floors and lath-and-plaster walls, because scribing and the right fixings start to matter.

Bespoke kitchens for homes in Euston

In the area around Euston, the largest groups of homes date from before 1919 (about 40%) and the years since 2000 (about 21%), on the Valuation Office Agency’s council tax figures for 2025. It is a good starting point, though every room is still measured, as two homes of the same age rarely match. There are 242 entries on the National Heritage List within half a mile of the centre of Euston. Older homes nearby may have original joinery, shutters or panelling worth keeping, and the furniture can be designed around them rather than over them. Near central London, streets tend to be narrow and busy, so carrying the sections from the van to the door takes planning, particularly for larger pieces.

If you live in a period home close to St Pancras New Church, a narrow back addition or an old chimney breast may shape the kitchen layout. Living in a block of flats near London Euston station? Then check any building rules on lifts and working hours early, and the sections will be sized for the way in.

Euston is about 1 mile east of St Pancras, within the London Borough of Camden. Anywhere in Euston, it works the same way: a design visit, a quote in writing, furniture made in our workshop and fitting in your home. Our work takes in places right across Camden, from the busiest high streets to quiet residential roads.

Every address in NW1W, W1T and NW1 is covered for bespoke kitchens. We cover homes on streets like Euston Road, Duke's Road and Phoenix Road, along with the roads around them, whether you want bespoke kitchens or another piece made for the room. Euston is near the A501 and A4200; on busy main roads, unloading kitchens takes a little planning. Nearby, we also make bespoke kitchens in Somers Town (1 mile north), Fitzrovia (1 mile south-west), Bloomsbury (1 mile south-east), Kings Cross (1 mile north-east) and St Pancras (1 mile east). We also make bespoke kitchens in nearby places such as Hampstead (3 miles north-west), West Hampstead (3 miles north-west), Greenhill (3 miles north-west), Dartmouth Park (2 miles north), Gospel Oak (2 miles north) and Haverstock (2 miles north-west).

Local landmarks in Euston

Our area takes in the homes around Maria Fidelis Catholic School FCJ, The Doric Arch pub and St Aloysius Catholic Primary School. There is a railway station in Euston itself: London Euston station. Well-known places in the area include Brunswick Centre (under half a mile south-east) and Wellcome Collection (under half a mile south-west). Green spaces nearby include Barnsbury Wood and Primrose Hill.

What bespoke kitchens cannot fix

It is worth being clear about where our work stops:

  • Gas work, which is for a Gas Safe registered engineer
  • Making good walls and ceilings
  • Electrics, sockets and lighting (your electrician)

If you are not sure what’s possible in your room, you can drop us a line using the contact form and we will give you a straight answer before you arrange a visit. How it works.

What it’s made from

  • Hand-painted finish
  • Larders and dressers
  • Birch plywood
  • Moisture-resistant MDF
  • Islands where space allows
  • Spray-painted finish

What prompts bespoke kitchens in Euston

Kitchens in older homes can be short on cupboard space. A larder or tall units can change how much you can store than a row of standard wall units.

These come up often when people first get in touch:

  • A central island in a larger kitchen
  • Spaces sized for your oven and fridge
  • Spray-painted or hand-painted cabinets
  • Room for everything in the kitchen

The wider area includes historic houses such as Handel Hendrix House, about 1.1 miles south-west. For a period home anywhere nearby, cabinets will be scribed to walls and floors that are rarely true.

Before you choose who makes it

  • Whether they can show you real projects they’ve done
  • How they’ll get the furniture into the room
  • Are the boards named, like MDF or plywood?
  • Do they scribe the furniture to the walls?

How to choose a carpenter in London

Bespoke or off-the-shelf?

Choosing bespoke means a design visit, a quote, workshop time and fitting, rather than ordering from a range. What you get is a kitchen planned around how you cook and live. Standalone furniture takes up floor without using the height of the room. Fitted furniture can go to the ceiling and fill a recess exactly.

Every room is priced on its own, because the size, the layout and the finish all vary. Spray painting and hand painting are different processes, which affects the cost. The figure comes in your written quote after the design visit.

Why choose us

  • Saturdays by arrangement
  • Work across the whole of London
  • We visit, measure and talk through the design before we quote
  • Fitted tight to walls that aren’t straight

How fitting works for bespoke kitchens

Before anything is fixed, we set the furniture level. Where the floor slopes, we bring the furniture up to level on adjustable feet or a plinth. Only then is it fixed to the wall, with fixings chosen to suit brick, lath and plaster or plasterboard. In a block without a lift, every section goes up the stairs, so it’s sized to be manageable. The stair turns and landings set the limit. Once inside, the sections are joined and fixed.

  1. First, you tell us about the room.
  2. The design visit covers measuring and planning the layout, where space allows.
  3. You receive a quote in writing.
  4. The kitchen is made in our workshop.
  5. We fit the kitchen in your home, while your plumber, an engineer on the Gas Safe Register and your electrician do the plumbing, gas and electrics. It is useful to have those trades booked in good time.

Preparing the room

  • Point out meters, boilers and fuse boards near the furniture
  • Make sure pets are kept safely away
  • Check the building’s rules for trades and lift bookings

Getting a quote

To make a start, drop us a line using the contact form and tell us a little about the room and roughly what you’d like. From there, we arrange a design visit to measure up and talk through your ideas, and send you a written quote afterwards.

Questions we are often asked

Is parking a problem for fitting in Euston?

It can be: much of inner London is covered by controlled parking zones. Depending on the street, a visitor permit, a paid bay or a bay suspension through the council may be needed, and suspensions often need notice. It’s useful to let us know about parking at the design visit.

Can you fit furniture in a home close to London Euston station?

Yes, homes across Camden and the rest of London are within the area we cover. To get started, you can tell us about the room on our contact form with a few details about the room.

Do I need permission in a conservation area?

Not typically. Conservation areas mostly control changes to the outside, and furniture inside a house does not normally need it. Listed buildings are different: check with the council’s conservation officer first.

Should I send pictures?

Yes. Pictures help us understand the room before the design visit. Show anything the furniture has to work around, such as radiators or sockets.

How much time does fitting need?

How long the fitting takes depends on how many units there are and how the room is laid out, and we confirm the fitting days in your quote. We’ll talk it through during the design visit.

Can you fit a kitchen in a room with uneven walls?

Yes, that’s part of the job. Walls in older homes are rarely flat and floors often slope, so we scribe and level every cabinet.
