Fitted Wardrobes in Euston
Walls in older London homes are rarely straight, so we scribe the furniture to follow them. We make fitted wardrobes for homes in Euston, each designed at a visit to your home.
- Several odd pieces where one run of storage would do
- Wasted space beside the chimney breast
- A sloping ceiling that is hard to use

Fitted wardrobes for homes in Euston
External walls can be colder and damper than internal ones, and a wardrobe packed against one can trap moist air. Where a wardrobe goes on an external wall, we plan ventilation behind and inside it to help avoid condensation and mould. Moisture-resistant MDF is a sensible choice there too. If you’re living with mismatched bedroom furniture and gaps above and around standalone wardrobes, that’s what fitted wardrobes are for, made from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, spray-painted or hand-painted.
Bedrooms in flats often share a wall with the next flat or the communal corridor, and those walls can be solid or plasterboard. Around Euston, where most households live in purpose-built flats, we choose fixings that suit the wall and keep drilling to what’s needed. Tall pieces are fixed back securely.
Where other trades are needed, for example an electrician to move a socket, we point that out. Our quote covers the carpentry: the design, the materials and the finish.

Is it time for fitted wardrobes?
After a loft conversion, the new bedroom normally needs storage that suits the slopes. Wardrobes built under the slope use space that would otherwise sit empty, keeping the room clear.
Typical reasons people contact us include:
- Too little room for clothes
- Musty smells in a wardrobe on a cold wall
- Storage boxes stacked under the bed
- Several odd pieces where one run of storage would do
If you live near Lewis Cubitt Park, fitted wardrobes are usually planned on the walls away from the window, so the light and the view stay.
What to check before you book
- Will they visit to measure before quoting?
- A written quote that sets out the job
- Whether the route into your home has been checked
- Do they scribe the furniture to the walls?

Bespoke fitted wardrobes or ready-made?
Older homes rarely have straight walls or level floors. Standalone wardrobes may lean or leave uneven gaps against the wall. We set fitted wardrobes level and scribe them to the walls and ceiling. Ready-made furniture stops at a set height, whatever the ceiling, which wastes the space above. Fitted furniture runs to the ceiling.
There’s no price list: each design is priced in writing after we’ve seen the space. Size, the number of doors and drawers and the internal fittings make the biggest difference to the price.
What you get with us
- Scribed to uneven walls
- Built around your room
- Made in moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood
- We visit, measure and go through the design before we quote

Euston homes and fitted wardrobes
Homes built before 1919 make up about 40% of the housing in the neighbourhood around Euston, with about 21% built since 2000, based on the Valuation Office Agency’s 2025 council tax data. It’s a good starting point, though every room is still measured, as two homes of the same age rarely match. There are 242 entries on the National Heritage List within half a mile of the centre of Euston. Original fireplaces, shutters and panelling are worth keeping where they survive, and fitted wardrobes can be designed to work around them. Streets close to central London are often narrow and busy, with loading bays in short supply, so the route from the van to your door is planned ahead of time.
For families living near UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies, fitted wardrobes in a child’s room can be planned so the inside layout changes as they grow. The wider area includes historic houses like Handel Hendrix House, about 1.1 miles south-west. For a period home anywhere nearby, a bedroom chimney breast and its alcoves often shape where fitted wardrobes go.
Euston is in the London Borough of Camden, about 1 mile east of St Pancras. Anywhere in Euston, the process is the same: a design visit, a written quote, furniture made in our workshop and fitting in your home. Across Camden, we cover Euston and the places around it.
We make fitted wardrobes across NW1W, W1T and NW1 for fitted wardrobes. We cover homes on streets like Euston Road, Duke's Road and Phoenix Road, along with the roads around them, for fitted wardrobes and any of our other fitted furniture. The A501 and A4200 runs close to Euston, so if your home is on a main road, mention it when you contact us. If you are just outside Euston, we also cover Somers Town (1 mile north), Fitzrovia (1 mile south-west), Bloomsbury (1 mile south-east), Kings Cross (1 mile north-east) and St Pancras (1 mile east). Other parts of Camden we cover include Hampstead (3 miles north-west), West Hampstead (3 miles north-west), Greenhill (3 miles north-west), Dartmouth Park (2 miles north), Gospel Oak (2 miles north) and Haverstock (2 miles north-west).
Near you in Euston
We fit furniture in homes around Maria Fidelis Catholic School FCJ, The Doric Arch pub and St Aloysius Catholic Primary School. Euston has its own railway station: London Euston station. Well-known places in the area include Brunswick Centre (a few minutes’ walk south-east) and Wellcome Collection (less than half a mile south-west). Not far away are Barnsbury Wood and Primrose Hill.
How fitting works for fitted wardrobes
You are welcome to ask questions while we work. The design, materials and finish were settled before anything was made, so the day itself is about careful fitting. How long the fitting takes depends on the length of the run, the doors and what goes inside, and your quote sets out the fitting days. For a flat, the stairs, landings, lift and doors are measured as well as the room: the furniture is made in sections that fit through all of them. Some older blocks have small lifts or none.
- You get in touch and let us know what you keep in your wardrobes now.
- We visit to measure up and work out the inside with you, from rail heights to drawer depths.
- The written quote sets out each wardrobe’s inside layout, the doors, the materials and the finish.
- Everything is made at our workshop from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, which holds screws well for rails and runners.
- The wardrobes are fitted in your home, spray-painted in the workshop or hand-painted on site, and the inside fittings go in last.
How to prepare
- Clear the hallway and stairs so the sections can come through
- Have your electrician move any sockets or switches beforehand
- Keep pets out of the room and the hallway
Starting with a design visit

Materials and finishes
Moisture-resistant MDF
Moisture-resistant MDF is stable and takes paint well, so we use it for doors, end panels and the faces you see. It’s a sensible choice against a colder external wall.
Doors and drawer fronts
Drawers can be hidden behind doors or shown as part of the front as you prefer. Inside drawers keep the front simple.
Honest limits
We do not treat damp or carry out building work, so these points are worth knowing:
- Converting a loft (we build storage in lofts that are already converted)
- Treating damp or mould on the walls
- Moving switches or sockets, which needs an electrician
Not sure whether your space suits fitted wardrobes? You can get in touch through our contact form and we will tell you. How it works.
What it’s made from

- Spray-painted finish
- Hinged or sliding doors

Questions from Euston
Will parking be an issue for fitting furniture in Euston?
It can be: much of inner London is covered by controlled parking zones. Depending on the street, a visitor permit, a paid bay or a bay suspension through the council may be needed, and suspensions often need notice. Let us know what parking is near you during the design visit.
I live in a flat in Euston. How will the furniture get up the stairs?
We measure the route in not just the room: the stairs, landings, lift and doors. The furniture is made in sections that fit the stairs and lift, and put together in the room. It is useful to check any building rules and your lease before fitting day.
What do you do at the measuring visit?
It’s a chance to measure properly and talk through what you’d like. We look at the walls, floors and anything the furniture has to work around, then send a quote in writing.
Does someone need to be home during the fitting?
We need access, so someone has to let us in. After that, you do not need to stay in the room.
Who chooses the colour?
You do. The paint colour is agreed with you before anything is painted.
What finishes do you offer?
There are two ways to finish it: by spray or by hand. A spray finish is smooth and even, while a hand-painted one is easy to touch up later.
