Fitted wardrobes designed for your room
What it’s made from
Doors and drawer fronts
Door styles range from simple flat fronts to panelled ones. You choose a colour that matches or contrasts with the room.
Hanging rails
Rails are placed so the top one is within easy reach. Higher space above can hold shelves for things you use less.
Fitted wardrobes in Newbury Park
Loft conversions, common in London terraces, often leave sloping ceilings. We can shape a wardrobe to follow the ceiling line, with long hanging at the tall end and shelves or drawers where it gets lower. Space that is hard to use otherwise becomes useful storage. Most enquiries start with not enough hanging space and space under the eaves going to waste; the furniture is made from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, finished by spray or by hand.
A loft conversion is a common way to add a bedroom to a semi or an interwar house, and that slope can be used for storage built to the angle. Around Newbury Park, interwar houses, semis and detached homes make up a large part of the housing. Our part starts once the loft has been converted, and the furniture is scribed to the slope and the walls.

Tips worth knowing
Because fitted furniture stays put, a little upkeep goes a long way. Here are a few tips worth knowing:
- For a flat, measure the stairs, landings and lift
- Mention if the wardrobe will go on an external wall
- Measure the gap between the wardrobe wall and the bed
- Ask your electrician about moving sockets early
With sliding doors, vacuum the track now and then. Clear anything that falls into it.
Let doors close gently rather than slamming. It keeps hinges and runners in adjustment longer.
Why people ask for fitted wardrobes in Newbury Park
Couples often want storage that works for two. We can plan separate sections for each person, each with the rails, shelves and drawers its owner needs.
Requests we hear often include:
- An tricky slope in a loft bedroom
- Standard wardrobes that do not fill the wall
- Several odd pieces where one run of storage would do
- A tight bedroom where doors get in the way
Close to Valentines Park? A bedroom facing the green is best kept light, with the furniture on the side walls.
Questions to ask before you hire anyone
- Do they scribe the furniture to the walls?
- How parking will work on your street
- Will they visit to measure before quoting?

When you need someone else
Not everything around fitted wardrobes is carpentry, from an electrician to a plumber or an engineer on the Gas Safe Register. Here’s what to know:
- Any wiring or new sockets (your electrician handles those)
- Converting a loft (we build storage in lofts that are already converted)
- Painting walls and ceilings, or repairing plaster
Not sure whether your space suits fitted wardrobes? You can tell us about the room on our contact form and we will tell you. Our process from visit to fitting.

What happens on fitting day
Finishing comes last. If the furniture was spray painted in the workshop, we fill the fixing holes and touch up on site; if you chose hand painting, that can be done in the room once the furniture is fitted. Either way, the finish is the one set out in your quote. If you have a driveway, it can make unloading simpler, so it is worth mentioning at the design visit. Otherwise, a visitor permit or a nearby bay helps. Floors and doorways are protected while the pieces come in.
- You get in touch and let us know about the room.
- At the design visit we measure the room and agree the layout and doors.
- Your written quote follows, setting out the design, materials and finish.
- The wardrobes are built in our workshop from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, then sprayed if you chose a spray finish.
- The wardrobes are fitted and scribed, with any hand painting done in the room.
- Before we leave, we go through the doors and drawers with you. New paint takes time to cure, so treat it gently at first.

FAQs: fitted wardrobes in Newbury Park
Will parking be an issue for fitting furniture in Newbury Park?
It can be, depending on whether your street is in a controlled parking zone. A van may need a visitor’s permit, a paid parking bay or a bay suspension, which the council arranges, often with notice. It helps to tell us about parking at the design visit.
Can you fit furniture in a home close to Seven Kings station?
Yes. We cover all of Redbridge and the rest of London. You can use our contact form to arrange a design visit, and let us know about parking and access at the same time.
Can you fit wardrobes under a sloping ceiling?
Yes. Many loft rooms have sloping ceilings. We measure the slope carefully at the measuring visit and scribe the wardrobe to it.
How do I get a quote?
It is easiest to fill in our short enquiry form. After that, we arrange a design visit and follow it with a quote in writing.
How long are you in the house for fitting?
How long fitting takes depends on the size of the wardrobes and the number of doors, and the fitting days are set out in your quote. We’ll explain what fitting day involves before we start.
How is the price worked out?
Every job is priced for its room: size, internal fittings, the finish and how awkward the walls are all play a part. The written quote follows the design visit.
