Need bespoke kitchens in Perivale?
Bespoke kitchens in Perivale: what you get
Our bespoke kitchens are fitted in Perivale and all over London. It starts with a design visit to measure and go through the layout, then a quote in writing. The cabinets are built in our workshop and fitted in your home. How long fitting takes depends on the size of the kitchen and the design, and your quote sets out the fitting days. We make kitchens from moisture-resistant MDF and strong birch plywood, with a painted finish, and people most often get in touch about more storage in a small kitchen and making the most of a galley kitchen.
With interwar houses or semis a big part of the picture around Perivale, many kitchens have a garden door and a window that shape the layout. Cabinets, a larder and a dresser can be made to suit the layout. The worktop, sink and appliances you choose are built in, with plumbing and electrics left to your plumber and electrician.
Our quotes are written in plain words, without jargon. They say what will be made, what it’s made from and how it will be finished.

How fitting day works
When we arrive on fitting day, we start by protecting your floors and the route from the front door to the room. Next, we carry in the sections made at our workshop, a piece at a time. The time the fitting takes depends on the kitchen’s size and how many other trades are involved, and your quote sets out the fitting days. Semis and detached houses often have a front path or a side gate, which can make carrying in easier. We measure the path, any steps and the front door as part of the route. Floors, stairs and doorways are protected on the way in.
- You let us know about the kitchen and where it is in your home.
- We visit to plan the layout and check how the cabinets will get into the room. Let us know about parking too, as a van may need a visitor permit, a paid bay or a bay suspension.
- We send a quote in writing.
- In our workshop we build the kitchen from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, in pieces that suit the route in.
- We carry everything in and fit the cabinets, while your plumber, a Gas Safe registered engineer and your electrician do the plumbing, gas and electrics.
Preparing the room
- Take anything hanging off the wall we are fitting to
- Point out meters, boilers and fuse boards near the furniture
- Empty the space we will be working in
How to get a quote
A quote begins with some details from you: which room it is, rough measurements and a couple of pictures if you can take them. When you are ready, send us a few details through our contact form. We will then arrange a design visit and follow it with a quote in writing.

Perivale homes and bespoke kitchens
The biggest shares of homes in the neighbourhood around Perivale were built between 1919 and 1939 (about 77%) and since 2000 (about 11%), on the Valuation Office Agency’s council tax figures for 2025. We take that into account at the measuring visit, since older and newer walls take different fixings. 3 conservation areas have at least part of their area less than a mile from the middle of Perivale. England has around 10,000 in all, and their controls are mostly concerned with the outside of buildings. About 77% of homes in the neighbourhood around Perivale date from between 1919 and 1939, according to Valuation Office Agency council tax figures (2025). Interwar houses often started with a small kitchen that has since been extended or opened up, so the cabinets are made for today’s layout.
If your home is as old as some of the listed buildings nearby, like Church of St Mary the Virgin, original features like shutters, panelling and fireplaces are worth designing around. If your own home is listed, check with the council before fixing into original features. For families living near St John Fisher Catholic Primary School, a kitchen with a spot for school letters and lunch boxes makes mornings easier. If you live in a period home close to St. Mary with St. Nicholas - Perivale, a narrow back addition or an old chimney breast may shape the kitchen layout.

Before and after fitting day
These points come up often when people plan bespoke kitchens. They’re worth knowing whatever the room:
- Let us know about parking during the design visit
- Talk to your other trades in good time
- Deal with damp walls first
- Measure the route into the kitchen
Let steam escape when you cook, as steam settling on cabinets over time is not good for any finish. Ventilation helps the whole kitchen.
It helps to know which appliances you want early. Their sizes shape the cabinets, so late changes can be awkward.
What bespoke kitchens can’t fix
Our work is the furniture itself: designing it, making it in our workshop and fitting it. In practice, that means:
- Plumbing, which is for your plumber
- Knocking through or rebuilding walls
- New sockets or circuits
If in doubt, you can message us from the contact page and describe the room. Our process from visit to fitting.
What it’s made from
- Hand-painted finish
- Moisture-resistant MDF
- Islands where space allows
- Spray-painted finish
- Larders and dressers
- Birch plywood
Questions we are often asked
Is Perivale in the area you cover for bespoke kitchens?
Yes, Perivale is within the area we cover, which takes in all of Ealing and the rest of London. We start with a design visit to measure the room and talk through what you need, followed by a quote.
Can you fit furniture in a home close to South Greenford station?
Yes. We cover all of Ealing and the rest of London. You can drop us a line using the contact form to arrange a design visit.
Will a bespoke kitchen suit my uneven floor?
Yes, that is part of the job. Walls in older homes are rarely flat and floors often slope, so every cabinet is scribed and levelled.
What finishes do you offer?
There are two choices: spray painting, done in the workshop for a smooth, even finish, or hand painting, which can be done on site. Your quote sets out which you’ve chosen.
Should I send photos?
Yes. They give us a feel for the space before we visit, along with rough measurements. Show anything the furniture has to work around, like radiators or sockets.
Do you work on Saturdays?
Yes, we can arrange Saturdays. Let us know when you first get in touch, and we will see what we can do.

Flat-pack or bespoke?
Off-the-shelf cupboards come in fixed sizes, so there’s often a strip of wasted space at the side or above. Furniture we make is built to the room’s own sizes, so it can use the full height and width.
Where bespoke earns its keep is in rooms that are not square. Older London rooms tend to have leaning walls, sloping floors and alcoves of different widths.
Made for the room, or bought in a box?
Off-the-shelf kitchens are quicker to buy and usually cost less and they suit many newer homes. In an older house with uneven walls, they tend to need filler panels and leave gaps. Bespoke is a bigger investment, built around the space you have. Doors, windows and radiators rarely leave a gap that matches a standard width, which leaves ready-made pieces sitting awkwardly. Fitted furniture is designed around them.
Awkward rooms take more time: uneven walls, sloping floors and angled ceilings all add scribing and cutting on site. The quote allows for it, which we write after seeing the room.
