Fitted wardrobes in Tottenham Hale
About our fitted wardrobes in Tottenham Hale
We make fitted wardrobes from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood in our workshop. The doors are finished with spray paint in the workshop or painted by hand, in a colour agreed with you. We then fit them in your home, setting them level on adjustable feet or a plinth. Typical reasons to get in touch are a tight bedroom where doors get in the way and clothes piled on chairs and in spare rooms, and the answer is built in our workshop from birch ply and moisture-resistant MDF, painted by hand or sprayed.
Many newer homes have tall windows or full-height glazing in the bedroom, so the remaining walls have to work harder. Many homes around Tottenham Hale were built since 2000, so we make the most of the walls you have. Corners are designed in rather than left as dead space.
The quote comes in writing, so you can read it at your own pace and talk it over at home. It records the design, the materials and the finish we discussed.

How fitting day works
On the morning of the fitting, the first job is covering the floors and protecting the way in from the front door. Next, we carry in the sections built in our workshop, one at a time. How long fitting takes depends on the length of the run, the doors and what goes inside, and the fitting days are set out in your quote. In a newer home, floors, walls and door frames are often freshly finished, so everything on the way in is covered before the sections arrive. Door frames and corners get covers too. Once inside, the pieces are joined in place.

Questions from Tottenham Hale
Is Tottenham Hale in the area you cover for fitted wardrobes?
Yes. Tottenham Hale is one of the places we work, along with the rest of Haringey and London. To get started, you can drop us a line using the contact form with some details.
Will parking be an issue for fitting furniture in Tottenham Hale?
It can be, depending on whether your street is in a controlled parking zone. A van may need a visitor’s permit, a paid parking bay or a bay suspension, which the council arranges, often with notice. Let us know what parking is near you at the measuring visit, so we can plan the day around it.
How is the furniture painted?
There are two ways to finish it: spray painted or hand painted. A spray finish is smooth and even, while a hand-painted one is easy to touch up later.
How much will my fitted wardrobe cost?
It depends on the size, the number of doors and drawers, the internal fittings and the finish, along with access and parking. We send a written quote after the design visit.
Can fitted wardrobes follow a sloping ceiling?
Yes. We shape the wardrobe to follow the slope, with long hanging where there’s height and shelves or drawers where it is lower. It makes good use of space that is hard to furnish.
Do I choose the paint colour?
You do. We agree the colour with you before anything is painted.
Fitted wardrobes for homes in Tottenham Hale
About 35% of the homes in the area around Tottenham Hale went up since 2000, and about 27% before 1919, in the VOA’s 2025 council tax stock figures. For carpentry, the era of a house is a useful clue to how square its rooms are and what its walls are made of. Within a mile of the centre of Tottenham Hale, 6 conservation areas are recorded by Historic England. England has around 10,000 in all, and their controls are largely about how buildings look from outside, so fitted furniture inside a house doesn’t normally need planning permission. About 27% of homes around Tottenham Hale were built before 1919, well below the figure for Haringey as a whole, about 54%, going by the Valuation Office Agency’s 2025 council tax figures. We check what the walls are made of at the measuring visit, as they vary with the age of the home.
Near listed buildings like The Ferry Boat Inn, under half a mile east of the centre of Tottenham Hale, older homes may keep original joinery that fitted wardrobes can be designed around. Bespoke fitted wardrobes or ready-made?
Walls and floors in older homes are seldom straight or level. Standalone wardrobes may lean or leave uneven gaps against the wall. Ours are levelled on a plinth or adjustable feet and scribed to the walls. Off-the-shelf depths can crowd a compact new-build room, while fitted furniture can be made shallower where space is tight. It can still go to the ceiling.
How it is painted is part of the price: spray painting is done in the workshop, while hand painting can be done on site. Your choice, along with the size and the fittings, is reflected in the written quote.

Is it time for fitted wardrobes?
After a loft conversion, the new bedroom usually needs storage that suits the slopes. Storage built into the slope uses space that would otherwise go to waste.
Here’s what fitted wardrobes can help with:
- Standard wardrobes that don’t fill the wall
- A tight bedroom where doors get in the way
- Clothes piled on chairs and in spare rooms
- Mismatched bedroom furniture
Bruce Castle, about 1 mile north-west, is one of the historic houses in the wider area. If your own home is a period one, tall ceilings give fitted wardrobes room to reach the cornice.
Before you hire any carpenter
- Is it spray painted or hand painted?
- Whether the route into your home has been checked

- Can you see real work of theirs?
