About our bespoke kitchens in Victoria
We are carpenters, so we make and fit the cabinets, while other trades handle the services. Your plumber, a Gas Safe registered engineer and your electrician do the plumbing, gas and electrics, and we plan the cabinets around where their work goes. We make kitchens from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood, finished by spray or by hand, and people most often get in touch about cabinets built around the appliances you choose and spray-painted or hand-painted cabinets.
In streets where many homes were built before 1919, as they were around Victoria, a chimney breast often survives in the kitchen, and it can frame a range cooker or a dresser. A blocked chimney still needs ventilating, and any damp is sorted before cabinets go against it. Plumbing, gas and electrics are for your plumber, a Gas Safe engineer and your electrician.
After the design visit, we send you a quote in writing. It describes the design we discussed, the materials and the finish.

Bespoke kitchens in Victoria: local notes
In the neighbourhood around Victoria, the largest groups of homes date from before 1919 (about 48%) and the years since 2000 (about 18%), according to Valuation Office Agency council tax figures (2025). Each era brings its own kind of wall, ceiling height and floor, so it shapes the design from the first measurement. There are 311 entries on the National Heritage List within half a mile of the centre of Victoria. Older homes nearby may have original joinery, shutters or panelling worth keeping, and kitchens can be designed to work around them. Controlled parking zones cover much of inner London, and each borough runs its own. So a van fitting furniture in Victoria usually needs a visitor permit, a paid bay or a parking bay suspension arranged through the council. Tell us what parking is near you at the measuring visit.
If you live near Green Park, a tall cupboard for outdoor things can be part of the kitchen design. For an older house near St. Michael's Church, tall ceilings can take larder cupboards right up to the top. For a family home near St Peter's Eaton Square CofE Primary School, a kitchen with a spot for school letters and lunch boxes makes mornings easier.
Victoria is in the City of Westminster, about 1 mile north of City of Westminster. Victoria is part of the area we cover, and the process is the same everywhere we work. Across Westminster, we cover Victoria.
We cover every part of the SW1V, SW1P and SW1X postcode area. Whether you live on a street like Eaton Lane, Gerald Road and Wilton Road or on one nearby, we can visit to measure up for bespoke kitchens. What bespoke kitchens can’t fix
As carpenters, we leave some work to other trades. These are worth knowing before you plan:
- Painting the walls around the kitchen
- Connecting sinks, taps and dishwashers
- New sockets or circuits
If in doubt, you can get in touch through our contact form and describe the room before you arrange a visit. How a job runs, step by step.

What affects the price in Victoria
Every room is different, so every job is quoted on its own. This is what makes the difference:
- Whether you choose a spray or hand-painted finish
- How many doors and drawers there are
- Stairs, lifts and the route to the room
- The width and height of the space
How it’s painted is part of the price: spray painting is done in the workshop, while hand painting can be done on site. The written quote reflects your choice, along with the size and fittings.
What to send when you get in touch
There’s no need for exact sizes or plans. Just send what you can:
- What you’d like to store or use the space for
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Rough sizes, even if they’re only to the nearest few centimetres
- The type of home and how the room is reached
Getting a quote starts with some details: which room it is, rough sizes and a couple of pictures if you can take them. When you’re ready, fill in our short enquiry form. After that, we arrange a visit to measure and talk through the design, then send a quote in writing.
Questions from Victoria
How do you fit bespoke kitchens in a flat in Victoria?
At the design visit, we measure the way in along with the room itself. Kitchens are made at our workshop in sections sized to fit that route, then assembled in your flat. If your building has rules on lift booking or working hours, or your lease needs consent for alterations, it’s worth checking those early.
Is parking a problem for fitting in Victoria?
It can be: much of inner London is covered by controlled parking zones. Depending on the street, a visitor permit, a paid bay or a bay suspension through the council may be needed, and suspensions often need notice. It’s useful to tell us about parking at the design visit, so we can plan the day around it.
Can you fit furniture on an external wall?
It needs a little planning: ventilation behind and inside the furniture helps avoid condensation and mould. We don’t treat damp, so any damp should be sorted before fitting day.
Can you build an island in my kitchen?
If there is enough room, yes. There has to be comfortable space on every side, and we measure for it during the design visit. In a narrow kitchen, a longer run or a peninsula may suit better.
Do I get to choose the colour?
The choice is yours, and it’s agreed with you before painting. Spray and hand-painted finishes both use the colour you’ve chosen.
What does a bespoke kitchen cost?
Every piece is quoted for your room after the design visit. The size of the room, the number of units and the finish all make a difference. For a design visit, get in touch through our contact form.
Before and after fitting day
These points come up often when people plan bespoke kitchens. They’re worth knowing whatever the room:
- Pick the oven, fridge and dishwasher first
- Wipe up spills promptly
- List what needs a home in the kitchen
- Share the layout with your other trades
Wipe up spills and splashes promptly, particularly around the sink and dishwasher. Even moisture-resistant materials last better when kept dry.
Line up your other trades in good time. The pipes, cables and gas supply need to suit the layout, so it helps if everyone knows the plan.
Fitting day, step by step
You won’t need to do much on the day. We need someone to let us in at the start, and the room should already be cleared. From there, we protect the floors, bring the furniture in and get on with the fitting. How long the fitting takes depends on the size of the kitchen and the design, and your quote sets out the fitting days. On fitting day, edges are trimmed on site to follow the walls, so a clear area to work in near the room helps. We keep dust down and tidy as we go. Where the finish is hand-painted, it can be done after the pieces are in.
- First, you tell us about the kitchen you have and the one you want.
- We visit, measure the walls, floor and ceiling, and go through the design, including where the sink and appliances will go.
- You get a written quote for the cabinets, with the materials and finish set out, for you to read through.
- The cabinets, doors and drawer fronts are made in our workshop from moisture-resistant MDF and birch plywood.
- The kitchen is fitted in your home, and your plumber, electrician and an engineer on the Gas Safe Register do the plumbing, electrics and gas.
Getting ready for fitting day
- Keep pets in another room while we work
- Point out meters, boilers and fuse boards near the furniture
- Take anything hanging off the wall we’re fitting to
Arranging a design visit
The price comes in a written quote, worked out from the measurements and the design you choose. Because every room is different, the quote comes after the design visit, once the room is measured and the design talked through. To arrange a visit, message us from the contact page.
